What is Casting?

Casting is the ability to show what is on your Android device to your TV. In this post I will show you how I can cast from my Android phone to my TV through my Roku device.

From my phone, a Samsung s8, I swipe down to reveal the quick menu and scroll left or right to find the Smart View icon.

In my case I have the Roku Premiere and Roku Player. By simply pressing the correct device (one is in the living room while the other is in the bedroom) my phone appears on the TV… there is no setup involved!
